Created for More

Tuesday, Day 3: The with-God life

“Man is created to praise, reverence, and serve God. The other things on the face of the earth are created for man to help him attain the end for which he was created. Hence, man is to make use of them in as far as they help him in the attainment of his end.” Ignatius Loyola

Thought: Created for More
Lets think about the purpose for which our life with-God was created… now, can you imagine that all God has created in heaven and earth is for you to grow into that purpose? The last two days we have been reflecting on pictures that tell the with-God story of our lives. Now imagine those up close pictures were taken by a satellite zoomed in and now the satellite is zooming out and we see the wider world around our personal pictures. This wider picture includes the people, places and events that share who we are. Today, we reflect on the wider world and why my with-God story has emerged the way it has.

Practice:
See what is created around you as part of your with-God story. Hear God saying that “what is around you is to serve your created purpose”. As you pay attention to creation and situations today, what might God be revealing about His desire for your life? Any new clues? Open your hands to God… raise them and offer your life and your world to His purpose. Journal or share with a spiritual friend what happens.

Prayer:
Creator God, let me see my home, gifts, friends, co-workers and life situations revealing my created purpose. Amen
