What will you Give up and what will you Add?

Art by Lynda Thurman <3

Do any friends out there practice fasting during Lent?

Those who know us, know we love the church calendar because the rhythms of the calendar connect us with our highest mind and desires.

Fasting during Lent is a part of the gig for us. It’s not about letting go of something so that God will be impressed, forgive, or love us more. It’s about making space through subtraction and making room for more love — love for God, my neighbor, and ourselves.

“Lent is a great time to practice absence so that presence increases.”

We are also taking a retreat to make space to practice presence. On retreat, we make room to ask what it means to be ourselves in this season. We allow the question, “What’s it like to be you? to have some territory.” Even a few hours of quiet, unplugged, unneeded, and attentive to your heart’s desire can transform your soul.

What will you give up during Lent?

What will you add?

You’re welcome to join us Saturday online or in person for a 3-hour retreat. More info here

Praying for your adding and subtraction…
