Praying today for powers equal to our tasks.
Stretch us oh God,
take us beyond ourselves
beyond what we can do
into what we ought to be doing.
Give us the faith to believe what you believe about our lives.
Leaving behind ruts and rules,
faithlessness and fears.
Let us see with the eye of an eagle
that which is too far away to see… unless we leave this ground and soar.
We refuse to live acquiescing to what is
and collude with heaven in the great what will be.
Through Christ our power. Amen
Give up – low living, sight walking and mundane choices.
Give in– and choose to let God’s love and power be equal to my God-given task.
Give out – words of hope, faith, and courage as we travel toward our immediate and distant goals.
