Our prayers this morning are for the “GREAT ONES.” We pray for the kids we know, and the kids we’ll meet today…
Oh, God grant us the grace to see a child’s place in the Kingdom of God as our priority.
Remind us that our children come not from us, but through us, and you entrust them to us for their care.
Forgive us when we have forgotten to remember.
Awaken us to our call to receive children, and help them to become themselves, letting go of all false choices that would make them other than who they are.
May we nurture the image of God in them as we mirror faith, hope, and love for them.
Keep them from all evil and give us the ability to protect them from the works of darkness.
Convict us to the core of our profound privilege and responsibility for future generations as we embody an ability to respond…one child at a time.
Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.
