“So since we have a track record with God, and a great cloud of witnesses surrounds us, there’s nothing to fear but NOT beginning.” C&S
We love beginnings even when we don’t feel completely ready and even a bit scared.
We’ve started a lot of things. A church, three schools, a business, a few NPOs (and a lot of good trouble!)
Oh, and let’s remember the marriage and family we started over four decades ago! 🎯
Many of these things have run simultaneously; none have happened without a community of love partnering with us. We wouldn’t even consider starting things any other way.
Still, we are walking another unknown path out here in this world full of glory and grime and keep reminding each other “we’re made for this!” (We’ll write more about that next week)
So since we have a track record with God, and a great cloud of witnesses surrounds us, there’s nothing to fear but NOT beginning.
One of favorite practices that helps us get ready for something new is time out in the wild alone or with people we love. We’re doing lots of that between now and next week.
What are the practices that help you with beginnings?
