Love and loyalty
    will come together;
    goodness and peace
    will unite.
Loyalty will sprout
    from the ground;
    justice will look down
    from the sky above.
Psalm 85:10-11

Have you ever seen love without loyalty or vice-versa? Nope, me either. When “love and loyalty come together, goodness and peace will unite,” you can count on it.

 Christ exemplifies loyalty and makes it clear who was loyal to him in Matthew Chapter 25. When I was hungry, thirsty, at my lowest, you showed up. When you’ve done it for the least of these in my family, you were loyal to me (“clare”-aphrased.=) We can interchange the word loyal for the maxim, “I’ve got your back.” My sister-in-love Kathleen, an Enneagram Eight, is the CEO of a non-profit that does just that. I’ve Got Your Backs Foundation is a living representation of Christ and leads others to have the backs of those in need. Let her story inspire you to incarnate the presence of the Loyal Christ.

EIGHTS embody the strength of the Lord. EIGHTS, when they are being led in life by the Holy Spirit are self-confident, strong, protective, resourceful, decisive, and loyal to the underdog. Integrated EIGHTS observe wisely before using their strength to rescue. Discerning EIGHTS do not rely solely on their GUT reaction to exert power but rely on contemplation and observation to execute a loving action. Sacred strength includes detaching from power and accepting another’s free agency and will. Transforming EIGHTS can detach from whatever they want and observe what will be the loving course to take. They will use empathetic leadership, warm direction, and loving power. Holy muscle both constricts and relaxes, allowing vulnerability.

Godly justice and judgment includes hidden knowledge and close connection. EIGHTS show us “God’s Justice is contemplative loving.”
